Charity

Our vision is to become the number one charity organization in Sri Lanka. We are a purpose-driven organization that works toward improving the lives of those in need. Our mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ through our charitable acts of service.
“Charity begins at home.” The PJFM Charity was founded by Pastor Wendy Fernando, a woman with a passion for feeding and clothing the destitute. While her home served as a house-church, she not only provided for those who came to church, but also extended her help to those in the surrounding community. This act of love has been diligently preserved by Pastor Wendy Fernando throughout the years and the foundation of The PJFM Charity Foundation.

Prison Ministry
In a world where judgment and condemnation are frequently the norm, extending a compassionate hand to those who have erred can be a powerful act of love. By offering support and understanding to inmates, we can help them rehabilitate and reintegrate into society after serving their sentences. This can contribute to breaking down barriers and building bridges of understanding within our communities.
Our Prison Ministry involves a range of activities aimed at providing holistic support to inmates and their families. This includes visiting inmates in prisons to offer emotional and spiritual guidance, supporting their well-being by facilitating access to education and vocational training programs, and attending to the needs of their families back home by providing assistance and counseling. These efforts are essential in helping inmates prepare for life after their release and in fostering a more compassionate and rehabilitative approach to incarceration.
Healthcare and Medical
Sri Lanka is a blessed nation to have free medical and healthcare services available to its citizens. However, during times of geopolitical and global pandemic crises, the country has experienced severe shortages of essential medical supplies, including medicine and medical equipment. These shortages significantly impacted the healthcare system, causing frustration among both the public and medical professionals. In response to this critical situation, our charity arm, which comprises a dedicated team of medical professionals, took proactive measures to address the shortages. Leveraging our expertise and network, we collaborated with hospitals across the country to supply the much-needed medical supplies, ensuring that healthcare facilities were adequately equipped to serve the public. Our team of doctors and healthcare experts played a pivotal role in coordinating the distribution of contributions and donations to hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities. Their guidance ensured that the resources reached the communities most in need, benefiting both healthcare professionals and the public. This collaborative effort not only alleviated the immediate impact of the shortages but also strengthened the healthcare infrastructure to better withstand future challenges.

Feeding the Destitute
Feeding the destitute has been the bedrock of Pastor Wendy Fernando on which the nutrition and feeding program was established. Our Charity Foundation has consistently come together to support and donate dry rations, food packets, and meals to numerous struggling individuals and communities. The team’s commitment to serving has extended beyond providing immediate aid, as they also conduct feeding and nutrition programs nationwide to ensure that those in need have access to nourishing food for the long term. This programme also feeds school children from various communities where the focus is to provide the essential nutrition children require for their physical and mental development and wellbeing. We believe our dedication to serving the community has remained unwavering, even in the face of adversity, as we continue to assist those in need across the nation.
