The first fruit offering is the first and the best increase or yield of our labour. This offering demonstrates our obedience, reverence and trust in God as our sole source of providence and from whom all increase, profits and promotions come.
The Scripture below implies that we will always be assured of God’s constant overflowing provision in our lives when we honour Him with our first fruits. The fourth chapter of Genesis recounts that God respects the offering of first fruits.
Proverbs 3:9-10, “9Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine”.
